Full Sail University is Named "School/College of the Year" by the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools & Colleges

Today, in an awards ceremony in Aventura, FL, Full Sail University (www.fullsail.edu) was named "School/College of the Year" by the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools & Colleges (FAPSC).

Winter Park, FL (PRWEB) July 26, 2008 -- Today, in an awards ceremony in Aventura, FL, Full Sail University (www.fullsail.edu) was named "School/College of the Year" by the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools & Colleges (FAPSC).

FAPSC (www.fapsc.org) is an organization that represents 220 colleges and universities throughout the state of Florida, and provides leadership, support and advocacy for quality education. As a member of the organization, Full Sail was selected for this award based on new program innovation, commitment to students' success, high professional and ethical standards, and other accomplishments and achievements.

Awarded university status in March 2008, Full Sail has been recognized throughout the last 29 years for its degree programs and graduate achievements. Highlights include being named "The Harvard of Game Schools" by Tips & Tricks Magazine; one of the top three New Media Schools by Shift Magazine (alongside the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and New York University); one of the Top Five Game Degree Programs in the world by Electronic Gaming Monthly; one of the Best Music Programs in the country by Rolling Stone Magazine; one of the Best Music Business Departments in the Schools That Rock: The Rolling Stone College Guide; and one of the Best Film Programs in the country by UNleashed Magazine. FAPSC has also previously awarded Full Sail "The Most Innovative Program" Award for its real world education with a professional class structure of 8-12 hours per day and a 24-hour around the clock schedule.

In 2008, Full Sail's graduates have also been renowned for their outstanding achievements in all genres of entertainment and media including 107 who were involved in the production of 84 individual projects nominated for GRAMMYs, and 15 graduates who worked on six Oscar-nominated motion picture releases.
