New Truck Gives Small Landscape Contractors Competitive Edge
Super Lawn Trucks to Introduce SLT Pro 12GL at October’s
GIE+Expo
FORT VALLEY, Ga. (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) August 7, 2008 --
Green industry landscape contractors and business owners looking to
efficiently enhance productivity, reduce fuel consumption, and improve
safety and security measures on their equipment and for their employees,
now have a more affordable, all-in-one solution.
The SLT Pro 12GL by Super Lawn
Trucks (SLT) is the newest member in the brand’s
line of vehicles engineered specifically for green industry landscape
contractors and business owners. According to Tony
Bass, president and founder of SLT, the new truck gives small lawn
and landscape companies the competitive advantage needed to survive in
today’s economic climate.
“We talk to contractors and owners every day
about their business and equipment needs and they want to get into the
Super Lawn Truck family, but at a lower price point,”
said Bass. “We listened and have responded
with a vehicle that not only positions a company to better handle the
current economic downturn and rising fuel costs, but also supports the
long-term success of their business.”
According to the United States Census Bureau's Statistics on Business,
more than 75 percent of landscape firms in 2005 had fewer than five
employees (65,286 firms), businesses that Bass considers ideal for the
new truck.
“The SLT Pro 12GL is a perfect fit for
businesses with annual revenues under $250,000 –
one to three-man operations – because of its
well organized, practical system,” said Bass. “But
to benefit even more from the efficiencies offered by the new truck, it
is critical that these companies have a handle on their routing and
scheduling, and labor requirements between commercial and residential
clients.”
Features, Benefits, Cost:
The SLT Pro 12GL marks the company’s initial
entry into the light duty truck arena, which offers the same security,
safety, efficiency and marketing benefits as its medium duty line of
trucks. Starting around $32,000, the SLT Pro 12GL comes with the
following features:
-
GMC Savana
Cutaway cab and chassis with a Vortec 4.8L V8 engine offers 15
miles per gallon/city and 18 mpg/highway, which allows contractors to
get a better handle on their fuel consumption. And with a GVW rating
of 9,600 and payload capacity of 5,263, the SLT Pro 12GL can carry all
the equipment needed for commercial or residential jobs.
-
A 12’ enclosed dry freight truck body which
essentially provides a warehouse on wheels, mobile billboard, and
added security.
-
SLT’s complete tool organization system
allows contractors to organize and transport tools needed for all
landscape jobs.
-
On-board fuel station transport system carries enough fuel to last a
week, reduces the need to stop for fueling equipment and eliminates
the need for gas cans.
