An Open Letter from Allan Houston reads as follows:

"Dear family, friends, fans and prayer partners worldwide:

First and foremost, I want to say thank you all for your support throughout the years and most recently for your overwhelming prayers for my daughter Jade, who successfully made it through heart surgery on August 13, 2008.

As you are reading this letter today (Monday, September 29, 2008), I am beginning basketball training camp with the New York Knicks.
