RSN Resort TV Brings on Sarah Burke And Chris Davenport to Co-Host RSN Outdoors
RSN Resort TV has tapped renowned freeskiers Sarah Burke and Chris Davenport to co-host the summer episodes of the network's marquee morning program, RSN Outdoors. RSN is responding to the changing tastes of its outdoor audience by adding new programs, bringing on new hosts, and working with industry partners to collaborate on new content.

With a focus on lifestyle, gear and apparel, performance fundamentals, kids, travel, safety, golf, and outdoor adventure alternatives, RSN Outdoors helps resort visitors start their day with the information they need. Also featured are real-time local weather, conditions, and event information.

Sarah Burke and Chris Davenport bring a fresh look and feel to RSN Outdoors. RSN has been enhancing its programming this year by producing new programs, bringing on new hosts, and collaborating with industry partners while still maintaining its popular programs such as Reel Thrills, Movie Nights, and Extreme Scene.
RSN is producing new shows and working with strategic industry partners to produce new content. The new video product, Splyced, was announced last month, a user generated vignette series airing across the RSN network. RSN added a new show to its summer lineup, Money Shots from VAS Entertainment, which highlights clips from new action sports movies. RSN is also working on a new surf show, Perfect Days; episodes are currently being shot in El Salvador and Nicaragua. Finally, RSN is working with Freeskier Magazine to air Gear Reviews and Athlete Profiles across the RSN network set to launch Winter 2009.
RSN is very excited about the fresh new content and the new RSN Outdoors hosts. Sarah Burke has been called "one of the most influential skiers of the past 35 years" by Powder magazine. Her superpipe expertise has earned her ten career US Open medals in women's freestyle; Winter X-Games medals in 2005, 2006, with back-to-back gold in 2007 and 2008; and the ESPN Best Action Sports Athlete 2007 award (the first skier to win an ESPY). When she was 19, Sarah won first place in the 2001 US Freeskiing Open in the halfpipe and second place in slopestyle, and from there came to dominate her corner of the sport - she is the first woman to land a 720, a 900, and a 1080 in competition. Sarah has been profiled by Powder, FHM, and ESPN; and she also regularly stars in ski movies by Matchstick Productions and Warren Miller.
Chris Davenport is one of the world's most accomplished big mountain skiers. A former Alpine downhill racer, Chris made his mark in the freeskiing community when he won the 1996 World Extreme Skiing Championships. In 2000, he landed on the podium in each Freeskiing World Tour event he participated in, and concluded the season by winning his second World Championship at the 2001 Red Bull Snow Thrill. In addition to cohosting RSN Outdoors, Chris is a contributor to several ski publications, a reporter and color commentator for ESPN and ABC Sports, and has been featured in more than a dozen feature ski films, including those from Warren Miller Entertainment and Matchstick Productions. Chris is also an avid mountaineer, with ascents of summits around the globe under his belt.
