Lac du Flambeau, WI (Vocus/PRWEB ) September 11, 2008 -- Three superstar alumni from NBC’s Saturday Night Live will reunite Saturday, October 11th for the “Saturday Night Live Reunion Show,” an event that will prove to be filled with side-splitting humor. Comedians Joe Piscopo, Victoria Jackson and Father Guido Sarducci will combine their talents in a performance packed with hilarious antics and one-liners. Their combined careers span nearly two decades of the hit television show that’s been at the forefront of American pop culture.

Piscopo became a star on Saturday Night Live almost immediately after joining the cast in 1980 and was known for his boorish impressions, most famously his boorish take on Frank Sinatra. In fact, Piscopo wrote a letter to Sinatra asking for his permission; Sinatra agreed and jokingly referred to him as “vice chairman of the board,” a spin on Sinatra’s own nickname. He also recorded the hit single “The Honeymooners Rap” in which he impersonated Jackie Gleason’s Ralph Kramden character. The song soon became a hit.

Also taking the stage will be Jackson, who starred on the show from 1986 – 1992. Jackson started the show in its 12th season, when executive producer Lorne Michael fired most of the previous cast and hired Jackson along with soon to be stars Dan Carvey, Phil Hartman, Jan Hooks and Kevin Nealon. Jackson was most famous for her appearances on Weekend Update with Dennis Miller in which she would recite poetry while doing headstands or backbends on the news desk. Other roles she is known for include a Christian girl who regularly appeared on “Church Chat,” nightclub singer Nancy Maloney and Brenda Clark from “Toonces the Driving Cat”.

Last, Father Sarducci will make an appearance, traveling to Lake of the Torches right from the “Vatican.” Comedian Don Novello created the Sarducci character, who is a chain-smoking priest with tinted glasses and works in the United States as a gossip columnist and rock critic for the Vatican newspaper L’Osservatore Romano. In addition to Saturday Night Live, Novello has appeared as Sarducci on such television shows as “Fridays,” “Married…With Children” and “Blossom.”

Michael J. Broderick, Director of Marketing at Lake of the Torches Resort Casino commented; “If you are like me, growing up with “Saturday Night Live” and the characters played by Piscipo, Jackson, and Novello gave us a reason to laugh and stay up late on Saturday night! We are truly thrilled to be hosting this fantastic show live in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin.”
