New York City, NY (PRWEB) August 27, 2008 -- EsNtion recording artist Adam Barta, who topped MTV LOGO's Click List countdown last year with his hit single "I Wanna Hold You", and Interscope recording artist Lady Gaga, whose current hit "Just Dance" is achieving huge success on dance radio, have been individually named as the first hosts of a new show called "Pop Lab" which will premiere on the MTV LOGO network Wednesday, September 3rd. The show will be a spin-off of the already wildly popular "NewNowNext" show, which showcases new music from across the globe in a variety of genres, from both major label and independent acts. "Pop Lab" will focus on major pop and dance acts such as Barta and Lady Gaga, who both have new music videos premiering on the MTV networks in September. Pop Lab will premiere on Wednesday, September 3rd, with Lady Gaga hosting the first episode, and Barta's episode will follow at the end of September. Following a TRL meets "Teen Beat" format, the show itself will uniquely focus on what is paramount in a pop star's life, with a witty q-and-a style rapport laid out in between the premiere of new music videos from the artists themselves and their peers.

Barta's latest single and music video which is the product of dance producer icon DJ Russ Harris, Standing in the Rain, is already topping the chart on Clear Channel's Pride Radio; the song is also creeping up the dance club charts across America, with a DJ Times review proclaiming, "finally some male vocals for the dance floor". His last single, I Wanna Hold You, was in the top ten videos of 2007 and Barta was named in the "Hot 100" list of 2008 on afterelton.com, an affiliate website of MTV LOGO network. Barta achieved such success under the management of Shaun Cairo, who is no stranger to the music business and whose client roster also includes Pepper MaShay, Marcus Patrick, and Madonna's former singer, Niki Harris. DJ Russ Harris had a Billboard dance chart topping hit with Drums in the Club back in 2007, and has enjoyed much radio success himself. Lady Gaga is no stranger to the network herself, as she gave a memorable performance on the NewNowNext Awards in 2008, enamoring MTV and LOGO viewers with her smash hit, Just Dance. She also had the honor of hosting TRL.

LOGO has a commitment to the best in LGBT programming, and is part of the MTV Networks. It has continued to expand exponentially in the past year, with original programming such as "The Big Gay Sketch Show" and the all new "Sordid Lives", featuring Olivia Newton John and Caroline Rhea, integrating mainstream appeal with a twist.
