TPG Seismically Shifts the Mobile Cap Plan Market

TPG has taken Australia's most popular mobile cap plan, a $49 cap with generally around $300 of included value, and changed the price point to an unprecedented $19.99 per month.

Sydney, NSW (PRWEB) August 23, 2008 -- TPG, Australia's best value broadband provider, this week released an exceptional mobile offer with the $19.99 Mobile Cap Saver plan.

The company has taken Australia's most popular mobile cap plan, a $49 cap with generally around $300 of included value, and changed the price point to an unprecedented $19.99 per month.

"We are giving customers exceptional value with the $19.99 Mobile Cap Saver plan. We have moved the typical contract period to 12 months which allows for great flexibility. We allow customers to supply their own handsets or buy handsets at super cheap prices from us that can be used with our plan," said Craig Levy, TPG's Mobile Division General Manager.

"A customer with any of the $49 Cap plans available in the market today can stop paying $49 a month, start paying $19.99 a month with TPG and still get their $300 of included value which can be used for calls, text and data," said Mr Levy. "The TPG Cap Saver Plan also comes with free 20 minute calls to TPG, Soul and Optus mobiles between 8pm and midnight every day.

"There aren't any catches," Mr Levy continued. "The call rates are comparable to $49 cap plans already in the market, and the eligible call types are similar in range."

"We believe that savings of this kind will be very important for consumers in these difficult economic times and we urge customers to check out our call rates and what is included in the $300 cap value."

TPG will continue to re-set the bar for affordable mobile deals, starting with a mobile cap plan with $550 of included value priced at only $39.99 per month. Visit TPG Mobile Products website for more details.
