Car Dealers Rush To Get "Secret Tool" During Tough Times; FS488 Paint Meter Exposes Damage On Trade-ins, Helping Dealers Avoid Catastrophic Losses

Car Dealers across America are facing the toughest market conditions many of them have ever seen. In spite of the market, auto dealers are rushing to get a "Secret Tool" know as a FenderSplendor FS 488 Paint Meter. "Smaller than a pack of cigarettes, the FS 488 quickly and accurately shows a car dealer if there is previous body damage on the car he is appraising or purchasing."

Gulf Shores, Al (PRWEB) August 21, 2008 -- New Car Dealers, Used Car Dealers, and Auto Auctions are all feeling the slowdown in the economy. As profits become more elusive Dealers are turning to a 'secret' electronic device manufactured and distributed by a Gulf Shores, Alabama Company.

This 'secret' tool is called a paint meter or paint thickness gauge and it quickly allows a Car Dealer to see if the vehicle he is looking at has been repainted--a tell-tale sign of previous damage. " In today's economy if a Car Dealer purchases or trades for a vehicle with previous damage he doesn't know about, he can easily lose several thousands of dollars." FenderSplendor President, Allen Willey went on to say; "we take the guess work out of determining a vehicles condition and help the dealer avoid serious losses."

Willey, who was a former dealer for Toyota, Nissan, Pontiac, Chevrolet, Lotus and Rolls Royce, was attending a used car auction in Detroit, Mi 7 years ago when he first saw a Paint Meter. "It was orange, fairly large and heavy, and the user said he paid over $700 for it. I immediately saw the potential for the gauge and knew if someone could make a quality Paint Meter that was smaller, lighter and more affordable it would sell like crazy." FenderSplendor, Inc. was born at that time.

Used to high profit margins and antiquated distribution methods none of the big-name-manufacturers would build a gauge for Willey. After over a year of searching and a trip to Southeast Asia, Willey located a Precision Instrument Laboratory who agreed to build a Paint Meter to his specifications. It became the FS 488. Willey then established the website: http://www.wholesalepaintmeters.com and began marketing the FS 488 for about half the price of his competition. Sales 'exploded.'

Two and a half years later, over 5, 000 Car dealers use the FS 488. Asked about the future, Willey said: "We have just scratched the surface of the Automobile Business. We are also making huge inroads into the Powder Coating Industry with our FS 502." Willey expects FenderSplendor Inc to have sales in excess of $1,000,000 in 2008.
