Young Girl From John Robert Powers Acting School Cast In Major Motion Picture

Director Robert Rodriguez Casts John Robert Powers Student In Warner Bros. Film Entitled "Shorts"

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) August 1, 2008 -- President of John Robert Powers, Ron Patterson, was pleased to announce today that a student from John Robert Powers acting school in Scottsdale, Arizona just finished filming director Robert Rodriguez's next film Shorts for Warner Bros. Young actress, Jolie Vanier, who has attended John Robert Powers acting classes in Scottsdale, Arizona will appear in the film with Jon Cryer (TV's Two and Half Men), Oscar nominee William H. Macy (Fargo) and three time Emmy winner James Spader (TV's Boston Legal). In her first role in a film, Jolie Vanier will play the part of Helvetica along side other child actors Jimmy Bennett (upcoming Star Trek) and Kat Dennings (The 40-Year-Old Virgin).

Shorts is about a young boy's discovery of a colorful, wish-granting rock which causes chaos in the suburban town of Black Falls when jealous kids and scheming adults alike set out to get their hands on this special rock. The film is written and directed by Robert Rodriguez (Spy Kids, Spy Kids 2, Spy Kids 3-D, Sin City, Grindhouse).

Jolie Vanier is just one of several breakout talents who have recently emerged from the John Robert Powers school system which currently has over seventy-five acting and modeling schools in the United States, Canada, Asia and Europe. "We at John Robert Powers are thrilled with the success of our Scottsdale Arizona acting student, Jolie Vanier. Imagine how exciting it is for Jolie and her family that her first film is a major Hollywood motion picture," said John Robert Powers President Ron Patterson. "We're glad that John Robert Powers was able to contribute to Jolie Vanier's training and prepare her for auditions. John Robert Powers wishes Jolie continued success."

Jolie Vanier is currently represented by Jackie Lewis of Diverse Talent and Lynn Badgley and Cinda Snow of Badgely Snow Management.
