"Curious" Danny's first single and video from his debut CD featured a hard grinding steamy club beat. The follow up, "Private Dancer", Fernandes' current single, eclipsed the first and is still in the Top 10 on the national Top 40 radio chart after four weeks. The video sits at #4 on the MuchMusic Countdown and still moving up.
The song talks about the Toronto native's first love, dancing, from an early age "Danny didn't just think he could dance"…He knew it! Practicing in front of mirrors perfecting his craft from his bedroom to the dance studio, then meeting his good friend and dance mentor "So You Think You Can Dance Canada" judge, Luther Brown who has reunited with Danny to choreograph his performance for Danny's national tour with Girlicious.
Success runs deep in this musically gifted family. No stranger to the stage, Danny spent his formative years as the youngest member of the Raptors Dance Pack and touring as a backup dancer in Europe for his older brother Shawn Desman, Blackstreet and Aaron Carter. Now it's Danny's turn to take the spotlight.
INTRO was co-written and co-produced by Juno award winning rapper and CP Records head of A&R, Belly. "This kid is a triple threat. He's headed to the top," boasts Belly, who recruited the young singer/songwriter/dancer into his revolutionary army invading Canada's airwaves.
CP Records has also recently secured a US release for Danny Fernandes through a freshly inked deal with Miami-based VIP Music.
The future is bright for this young star…INTRO is just the beginning.
