I have never seen celebrities take such a liking to one particular artist. People may not know Derrich J's name now, but they certainly will in one year's time.

(PRWEB) October 9, 2008 -- Whenever Gavin Keilly and GBK do a suite prior to an award show, a good number of the vendors are making returning engagements, based on their past successes with selective celebrity guests. Given the caliber of celebrities the GBK suites attract and the knowledge he would be flanked with more established products and brands, jewelry designer DerricH J knew his debuting his line at the high profile event would be a leap of faith. However, given that nature and faith were a recurring theme in his work, it was a gamble he was willing to take.

As it turned out, the fledgling designer literally "rocked" the world of attendees at the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood (which, by the way, included folks from the Rock Our World organization). Thanks to his inspired mix of crystals, semi-precious stones, vintage jewelry pieces and his signature copper wrap, celebrities found it difficult to pick just one piece that "spoke to them," as necklaces, barrettes, watches, belt buckles and earrings competed for attention in an equally artistic setting.

Jackie Collins was overheard saying, "Cher needs to see these…they're astounding!" Kevin Sorbo (of Hercules fame) commented he had never seen anything like it, and wanted to order 30 pieces for his own upcoming event. Emmy Award winner and Designing Woman Jean Smart told him, "These are so beautiful. You're up and coming talent to reckon with," while Phylicia Rashad was equally complimentary. Joey Fatone was another instant fan as was Emmy award winner Katherine Joosten of Desperate Housewives. At the end of his Emmy event's run, Keilly concluded, "I have never seen celebrities take such a liking to one particular artist. People may not know Derrich J's name now, but they certainly will in one year's time."
