Austin Haunted House Unleashes Two New Haunted Houses :: Save at the Gas Pump

In a move sure to leave many a Austin person breathless this Halloween season The Mansion of Terror is opening two new Haunted Houses at its North Austin location. The Mansion of Terror was rated Austin's best Haunted House in 2007 and the best Haunted House in the Nation by Lions Gate Films, however they aren't just sitting around watching the cobwebs grow.

Austin, TX (PRWEB) October 6, 2008 -- In a move sure to leave many a Austin person breathless this Halloween season The Mansion of Terror is opening two new Haunted Houses at its North Austin location. The Mansion of Terror was rated Austin's best Haunted House in 2007 and the best Haunted House in the Nation by Lions Gate Films, however they aren't just sitting around watching the cobwebs grow.

Haunted House owner Norm Glenn explains, "With the price of gas where it is, why pay 16.00 for two hours of so-so entertainment at the theatre? Instead pay only $14.00 for up to three hours of live, interactive entertainment." At the Mansion of Terror Haunted House you are part of the show. Around every corner lurks something or someone waiting to scare you. Talk about keeping "Austin Weird".

"Our Haunted Houses have a group think mentality. All of the actors, builders and crew are involved in the process," says owner Glenn. Glenn goes on to say, "All through the year the over 70 plus Central Texas people we employee do their part to shape the look and feel of the Haunted House, from finding 10 foot steel cages on Craigslist to leaving comments on our Facebook page, our Haunted Houses are shaped by Austin itself."

When visitors enter the Mansion of Terror they are faced with options. One of those is the "Slaughter Circus". "Slaughter Circus" features a truly twisted take on an 1800's Sideshow and Circus. Complete with claustrophobic passageways, things that go bump in the night, live freak show performers and more. Do you suffer from Coulrophobia also knows as the fear of clowns? Well don't worry ... their tagline is "Absolutely No Clowns".

The newest Haunted House this year is called "Blood Frenzy". "Do you ever have nightmares so vivid they seem to become reality?" asks Glenn. "Well Blood Frenzy is an outgrowth of that. Last year when I met with my actors we all seemed to be having the same nightmare over and over. As pen met paper we shaped what became the Blood Frenzy Haunted House," says Glenn. "Blood Frenzy" is a maze of abandoned factory buildings combined with a feeling of dread. A wasteland of urban decay haunted by the Austin serial killer "Blood Frenzy".

It's also the only Haunted House in Central Texas that requires the customer to make choices to escape. Choose the wrong door or fall for the wrong clue and you'll find yourself very sorry.

The same people who enjoy "Hostel", "Saw", and other such films are going to find that Blood Frenzy takes the idea to a new interactive level.

The Mansion of Terror and its two Haunted House open to the public on Sept 19th at a cost of $18.00 for visiting both Haunted Houses. There is also a $2.00 off coupon available all local Goodwill and Halloween Express locations.
