Written by South Camden Theatre's Producing Artistic Director Joseph M. Paprzycki and directed by Christopher Schimpf the co-produced production will debut with two special performances for students in the Walter K. Gordon Theatre at Rutgers-Camden on Friday October 10th and Saturday October 11th at 8PM. The play will continue the remainder of its run starting Friday October 17th at 8PM through Sunday October 26th at the South Camden Theatre Company's home currently located in the basement of the Sacred Heart Church in Camden, New Jersey.

Paprzycki notes, "Showcasing the South Camden Theatre Company's work at Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts is a valuable and important opportunity for us to increase our community involvement by including local students and faculty in the rebirth of Camden". Paprzycki explains, "'Youth In America' is the ideal fit for our introduction to the Rutgers-Camden audience as it portrays four stories of the challenging situations that teens and young adults face today as 'Youth In America' explores growing up in modern world".

Grazeilla DiNuzzo-D'Amelio, Communications Manager for Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts states, "We are excited to work with South Camden Theatre Company on this project and expose our students to a stellar example of a local theatre company whose work is simply riveting. We look forward to future collaborations with South Camden Theatre Company as they build a new venue in our neighborhood with their own new 99 seat theatre at the Waterfont South".

The South Camden Theatre Company will produce two additional shows for their fourth season beginning in February 2009 with "Mass Appeal" written by Bill C. Davis which will be followed by "And Justice For All" a festival of four one act plays about political and social injustice to debut in April.

The South Camden Theatre Company has been staging productions for over three years in the basement of Sacred Heart Church and plans to move its performances across the street into the new 99 seat Waterfront South Theatre in the fall of 2009. Located at the corner of 4th and Jasper Street in Camden New Jersey, the new building is currently under construction at the site of the former bar named Walt's Café, an establishment previously owned by Paprzycki's grandparents and is the setting for his first play, "Last Rites".
