Broadweave and Telarus Reach Agreement to Sell Commercial Services to Businesses

Broadweave partners with Telarus, a leading telecom master agency, to contact all businesses in Broadweave's newly acquired iProvo fiber footprint and to market commercial data and voice services.

Provo, UT (PRWEB) September 7, 2008 -- On the heels of becoming the sole owner and operator of the former iProvo network, Broadweave Networks today announced that it has reached a marketing agreement with Telarus, Inc., a premier telecom master agent, to market and sell Broadweave's commercial data and voice services on Broadweave's newly acquired fiber-optic network, the largest of its kind in Utah. Under terms of the agreement, Telarus will market and sell high-speed data and voice services as a master sales agent under the Broadweave brand.

"We are excited to represent Broadweave and to sell Broadweave's fiber-optic services to every business in Provo, Utah," commented Adam Edwards, president of Telarus, Inc. "By leveraging our CRM technology and highly skilled sales agents, we will be able to contact each and every business in Provo in a matter of weeks. It is our goal to educate the public about the exciting new products Broadweave has to offer by virtue of its recent acquisition of the iProvo fiber-optic network. Broadweave's speed, capacity, price, and scalability place them firmly at the top of the telecom food chain."

Telarus sales agents (also known as Product Specialists) have already begun contacting hundreds of businesses in Provo. They expect to contact every business by September 19, 2008.

"Broadweave is excited to work with Telarus in this expansive sales effort," commented Steve Christensen, CEO of Broadweave Networks. "The first step in our business plan was to acquire the iProvo network and to develop commercial-grade services that no other carrier can offer to businesses in our market. With the help of Telarus, we can now build the Broadweave brand and reach businesses in a much shorter period of time."

Broadweave's suite of business services includes 1 Mbps to 10 Gbps high-speed internet access over Ethernet, hosted VoIP service, SIP trunking, PRI service, and call-center telephony services. Businesses who sign up for multi-year contracts will receive discounts.

Last week, Broadweave announced the close of its $40.6 Million acquisition of the iProvo fiber-optic network. The iProvo network was the largest municipally owned Fiber-To-The-Premises (FTTP) network in the US. The acquisition makes Broadweave one of the largest providers of residential and business services over a FTTP network in the US. The acquisition also marked a historic milestone as it was the first privatization of a municipally owned FTTP network.
